Austin's progressive spirit is captured in many visible forms around the city. The bronze likeness of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. on The University of Texas at Austin campus was dedicated in 1999. A tribute to the diversity of the city and the university, the statue was conceptualized and created by the wife and husband sculpting team of Anna and Jeffrey Koh-Varilla. |
